My Search Strategy
General commitment
- Increase the numbers of my ideas to 80, so as to increase the chance of finding great investments
- do not miss obvious investment because I am not paying attention.
Checklist (in this order)
- Have a checklist of great investors (Michael Burry, Todd etc) whom I track for new ideas. Track their 13F documents and investor letters, if available. Conduct tons of due diligent.
- read Value line report on industries and companies, search for ideas
- daily screens – mainly 10% off 52-week low list
- checklist of publications, blogs and forums that I follow for new ideas
- keep a growing watchlist of stocks I follow which includes a valuation estimate and a target price to buy the stock
